Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about IRS help

Enrolled Agents, fees, languages, and how working with EZER Tax Solutions works — across New England, based in Rhode Island.

What is an Enrolled Agent?

An Enrolled Agent (EA) is a tax professional licensed directly by the IRS — the highest credential the IRS awards. To earn it, an EA must pass a three-part IRS exam covering individual taxes, business taxes, and representation, pass a background check, and complete continuing education every year. EAs focus entirely on taxes and have the same unlimited right to represent taxpayers before the IRS as CPAs and attorneys, in any state. When you're facing an IRS notice, a levy, or back taxes, an EA is exactly who you want in your corner.

What does CTRC stand for?

CTRC stands for Certified Tax Representation Consultant, the premier credential from Tax Rep Network, signaling proficiency in IRS representation. It certifies Aracely to handle IRS collection cases, from installment agreements and Currently Not Collectible status through offers in compromise, innocent spouse relief, and payroll-tax matters.

What IRS problems can EZER help with?

IRS and state audit representation, back taxes and bringing unfiled returns current, installment agreements, offers in compromise, penalty relief, levy, garnishment and lien help, and Currently Not Collectible status. Every case is different; we start by understanding your facts.

Can you represent me in an IRS or state audit?

Yes. As an Enrolled Agent, Aracely can represent you before the IRS in audits, appeals, and collections in all 50 states, and she represents clients in state tax audits where state rules allow. Once you authorize her, she can speak with the auditor for you.

Do you only work with clients in Rhode Island?

No. EZER is based in Rhode Island and serves clients across New England. As an Enrolled Agent, Aracely can represent taxpayers before the IRS in all 50 states — by phone, email, and our secure client portal.

Can I get help in Spanish?

Yes. EZER helps individuals and small businesses resolve IRS problems in English and Spanish.

What happens after I request a consultation?

We’ll call you within one business day to schedule a time. In the confidential consultation and investigation, we review your IRS transcripts and notices and explain your options in plain language.

How are fees handled?

Flat fees, explained up front in a signed engagement letter before any work begins. Results not guaranteed; IRS balances and government charges are separate.

How do I send documents securely?

Current clients can send documents through our secure client portal. Please do not include Social Security numbers or other sensitive tax ID numbers in the website form.

What happens after my IRS issue is resolved?

We explain what it takes to keep your resolution in good standing, which typically means filing future returns on time and keeping up with any agreed payments, so new problems are less likely.
